Screening and Analysis of Pointing Error Data Under Frame Model

  • The pointing error data of the frame model which apply to the altazimuth telescope are analyzed. The method of obtaining pointing error data is introduced in this paper. The least square method is used to solve the correction coefficient, and the pointing correction amount is fitted by combining the position of the azimuth axis and the height axis. At the significance level of α=0.05, the residual analysis is carried out to eliminate those points with excessive deviation to improve the fitting accuracy. The validity of the model is verified by calculating RMS error, correlation coefficient and P value of F test. This article explains that the fitting accuracy can not be improved without residual test after adding test data, and the error data obtained in different times can be combined for processing. Coefficients are written into the configuration file, and then the pointing error is corrected in real time according to the feedback value of the grating encoder during the pointing and tracking process.
