The Implementation of the Antenna Gain Calibration Based on Python for SKA-RASCIL

  • The antenna-gain-calibration is a key step in the data processing of radio astronomy observations. This paper analyzes the basic principles of the classic antenna-gain-calibration algorithm, i.e., Antsol, and implements the Antsol algorithm with high performance based on Python. The completed program has been integrated into the radio astronomy simulation calibration imaging software (Radio Astronomy Simulation, Calibration and Imaging Library, RASCIL) for the Square Kilometre Array (SKA), provides support for the SKA data processing.
