Parameters of the Image Quality Degradation of the Atmosphere

Parameters of the image degradation include the seeing parameter r0, coherent timefand the amplitude fluctuation (Stellar scintillation: e_I²) of the turbulent atmosphere are introduced in this paper. The influence of these param eters on the image degradation is discussed. The physical meaning of the seeing parameter r0 is especially discussed and is quantitatively analysized.
