Analysis of a Rotating Shutter for the Laser Guide Stars of the Adaptive Optics System on the YNAO 1.2m Telescope

  • Based on the technology of launching and receiving laser beam in a co-aperture for the Laser Guide Stars in the Yunnan Observatory.We have designed a new fast mechanical rotating shutter to control light signal with high frequency thereby protect the wavefront sensor in the adaptive optics system from being damaged by scattered laser light.We also investigate the sampling depths of Ragleigh laser guide stars in detail,and analyze the control of the time sequence of the shutter,laser transmitting,and wavefront detection.
