Simulation of the Distributions of Typical Space Debris on Low Earth Orbits during Year 2009

  • More and more space debris are accumulated in the near-earth space, mostly with altitudes less than 2000 km.Such debris have polluted the near-earth space, and increasingly threaten routine operations of spacecrafts.Certain simulations of the distributions of space debris are presented for cases of orbits of altitudes 600km, 700km, and 800km, and with inclinations 30°, 60°, and 98°.The results may help keeping spacecrafts safe and supporting decision-making of future deployments of spacecrafts.
