Astronomical Background of the Earthquake at Wenchuan
This paper analyzes the astronomical backgronnd, including the positions of celestial objects, obliquities of the lunar orbit, solar activities, and earth rotations, etc., when the earthquake occurred at Wenchuan.The results show that in either the formation or the occurrence of an earthquake the influences of these astronomical factors cannot be ignored and deserve further in-depth research.
