Test and Analysis for the Performance of a Magnetostrictive Micro-displacement Actuator

  • The principle of a Magnetostrictive Micro-displacement Actuator(MMA)is described in this paper.A test method of the MMA is analyzed and a test-platform is designed by using a double-frequency laser interferometer to calibrate length measurements.Furthermore, the paper shows the test of the MMA with the test results fit by a polynomial curve.To some extent, the analysis and test can improve the linearity and precision of the actuator to meet the design requirements.
