Centimeter and Decimeter Wavelength Emissions from Solar Flares

  • Centimeter and decimeter wavelength emissions are from energetic electrons that are believed to carry a significant fraction of the energy liberated during the impulsive phase of solar flares.Firstly the centimeter-wavelength source morphology and kinematics, the comparison of centimeter-wavelength and X-ray source properties, are reviewed in this art icle. Then some recent observation results of decimeter-wavelength emissions are introduced including type Ⅲ bursts,fiber/zebra bursts, drifting pulsation structures(DPS),spikes and so on.The related emission mechanisms are also discussed.
