The recent researches on observations of Hα line profile asymmetry in chromospheric flare are reviewed.Spectral properties,the corresponding mechanisms of asymmetry,and reproduction of observational spectrum by using semi-empirical atmosphere model are dicussed in detail.At last,the main problems to be solved and further researches are put forward.
