The Observational Constraints to the Multiphase, Three-Zone Chemical Evolution Model for Galaxies

  • On the basis of the Galaxy evolution theory, We use the therotical chemical evolution model of three-zone (the halo, thick disk and thin disk)and multiphase (the diffuse gas, molecular clouds, stars of both low and high mass, the remnants) to discuss the fowllowing observational constraints:(1) surface densities and SFR, (2) age-metallicity relation, (3) α/Fe and Fe/H, (4)G-dwarf metallicity distribution in the solar neighbourhood, (5) Characteristic properties of the galactic components, (6)supernova rates and (7)infall rate. We conclude that the three zone and multi-phase model can consistent with all constraints above. We can use this model to cauculate the elements of the galaxy evolution.
