Striving to Enlarge the Sky Coverage of the FAST

The FAST project, a novel giant spherical radio telescope with active main ref lector, has been put forth.Meanw hile some efforts have been tried to overcome one of the most serious shortcomings of the spherical radio telescope, seriously limited sky coverage.Three measures under investigation are introduced in this paper, followed by describing essential perfo rmance expected and brief comparison with current largest radio telescope.
