The Relation between the Accretion Rate and the Jet Power

  • The balck holes in the cores of galaxies and galaxy clusters are commonly observed to be associated with powerful relativistic jets.We collected 24 AGN sources in this article. The sample includes 13 RBLs and 11 FSRQs.We studied the correlation between the accretion rate and the jet power. We also made the correlation analysis between the accretion rate and the γ flux density. Our conclusions are as follows:(1) The black hole accretion rate has the strong correlation with the jet power;(2) There are a little differences between RBLs and FSRQs for the distribution of the black hole jet power;(3) The γ flux density has the different correlation with the jet power for RBLs and FSRQs;(4) It is suggested from our result that the black hole jet may obtain the energy from the spin accretion which is consistent with other results obtained in different ways.
