Variations of Steller Image motion Associated with the Changes in the Distance from the Zenith

  • A method in which, observations and regression analysis are divided into groups, is presented of studying the variations in stellar image motion associated with the changes in the distance from the zenith. A comparison of data reductions using ole method with those using new method of site testing in Binchuan is made; it shows that the new method might increase in the precision in reducing the image motion to the zenith, because the changes in the image motion and the stability of the geometry of the atmospheric layers are considered in the new method.
