Research of the Method for Reducing Background of Very Low Frequency Radio Spectrumon Chang'E-4

  • Chang'E-4 will carry a Very Low Frequency Radio Spectrometer (VLFRS), which will land on the far-side of the moon forRadio observation.The VLFRS has an observation frequency of 0.1-40MHz. According to Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) test results in the Microwave darkroom of China Academy of Space Technology, the lander platform is quite noisy in this band, and the intensity of the noise is even stronger than that of most signals from the sun burst. In this pape, we simulate and optimize background elimination through improved spectral subtraction, adaptive filtering and wiener filtering, and choose a more effective method foreliminating background.
