The Impact of Magnetic Decay Braking Torque on the Secular Retardation of Spin of Two-Components of Pulsars

  • The purpose of this paper is to research the action of magnetic decay on spin down of two-component of pulusar. The secular speed down of the magnetic decay braking torque on a model of two-components of pulsars is studied by using the analytical method. The analytical solutions of the couled equation system with the model of two-components are given. The analytical solutions obtained are applied to the research for PSR0531+21 (Crab) and PSR0833-45 (Vela). The numerical results show that spin of Crab and Vela pulsars speed down in 1 yr:-0.1710 (rad/s) and -0.0071 (rad/s) respectively. The results obtained are discussed in this paper and it is concluded that magnetic decay is existing in two-component model especially.
