Statistical Analysis of Night-time Astronomical and Meteorological Characteristics in Fengweiqing of Dali

  • The temperature, relative humidity, probability of dew point,rainfall, air pressure and wind speed and direction are analyzed by using the data of over two years from the weather station constructed at the Fengweiqing village, east coast of ErHai lake, Dali. According to the statistics, the meteorological conditions in this region (2016.08-2018.09) show obvious seasonal features:during November and the coming April, the relative humidity and the probability of condensation are low, rainfall is rare, the pressure fluctuation is weak, the wind speed values are small and steady, suitable for night astronomical optical observation. During May and October, the relative humidity values and the probabilities of condensation can be very high, as well as the pressures fluctuate obviously. Such high-humidity periods should be avoided when scheduling for observations.
