The Radio Astronomy Division

  • The Radio Astronomy Division was set up in 1978. The Division has 26 scientific and technician persons. Under the Division there are six research groups. The main resarch direction is the radio astronomy spectroscipy. The resarch contents include decimceter and centimeter wave radio spectral lines of interstellar molecules, so1ar radio patrol observations and development of radio observational instrumentation. Now, the Division has a microwave radio telescope with the aperture of ten meters and three cm-wave solar radiometers. Since the foundation of the Division, 40 research articles and work reports have been written, including the radio observations of the totr.1 solar eclipse in 1980 February, the experimental report of an acoustic-optic spectro-graph and the devclopmernt experience of the ten meters radio telescope, and so forth.
