The Library

  • The library covers a floor space of 1,100 square metres, including a stack room of 600 square metres which can contain 100,000 volumes, a reading-room of 150 square metres, three small reference rooms, two darkrooms and six offices. Now there arc deven Hbrarians in Ihe library. More than 30, 000 books and 745 soris of periodicals have been collected there. The main task of the librarians is to coiled hooks,periodicals and preprints or reprints of scientific papers, to make investigations on scientific and technical information in order to meet the needs of research work on the related science branches in astronomy, and to edit and dhtribtite the publications of this observatory and some reference data.
