Determination of the Position of a Single Doppler Station

  • The applied expression, including the second-order terms(involved the terms of the relativistic effects),is derived for the satellite doppler range-rate in the earth-fixed coordinate system from observations obtained at the station. The observational equations with seven unknown quantities including the corrections of the three components of the site coordinate, the off-set frequency and the corrections of the three components of the satellite position are presented.Utilizing the method of the linear minimum variance estimation, the estimate values of the three components of the station position are determined in subsequent calculations pass-by-pass.The rms of the final estimate value of the station position using sampled Doppler data, which have a random erfor of about 2 cm/s,of 48 passes is 8.44m,there is rms of about ±6.93m as compared With DX-1 coordinate system.
