The Analyses of the Accuracy of Solar Radio Observation at Manila of the USAF During the Peak Years of Cycle 21

  • In this paper we use the 9400MHz (Toyokawa), 3750MHz (Toyokawa) and 2800MHz (Ottawa), the three standard wave band of solar Radio Observation acknowledged by the world, to make the accuracies by folding-regression analysis of 8800MHz, 4995MHz and 2695MHz at Manila Observatory of the USAF. In the period of Jan. 1980-Dec. 1982, results show that the r. m. s. errors are 3.5%, 5.4% and 4.2% respectively. For the burst observations during the came period, we replace the 2800MHz by 2950MHz (Gorky) but still use the Toyokawa's at other two bands, and resulst show that the r. m. s. errors are 20%, 22% and 18% repectively.
