Implication And Problems In the Work on A Catalog

In this paper the significance is briefly introduced of the work on a catalog. The contents and demands of each step in the course from the drawing-up of the observation programme to the establishement of a fundamental system are also described. The available problems on the principles of observation, theories of errors and methods of processing in the present work on catalogues are discussed.
