More Information
  • Published Date: October 30, 1989
  • The expert group for strategic study of promoting coherence research on astronomy, space science and earth science organized in the summer of 1985 by the planning Bureau of CAS presented a proposal on the global character research of solar-terrestrial system in 1986. The proposal was extensively supported by the scientific workers in the fields of solar physics, space physics and geo-sciences, and also the persons in HQ of CAS. Professor Zhou Guang-zhao, the president of CAS, suggested emphasizing the coordinated study in the period of the solar maximum year.
