MICROWAVE OUTBURST AND X-RAY RADIATION ON DECEMBER 16, 1988

  • There are three radio telescopes at 4000 MHz, 2800 MHz and 1420 MHz in our solar radio group. The apertures of the antennas are 3.2, 2.5 and 3.0 meters respectively. They can receive total flux of solar radio radiation with second and millisecond time constant. The radiometers of every radio telescope are terminated commonly with a YEZ 80 microprocesser. Signals form the antennas are divided into two channels after passing modulator, mixer, intermediade frequency amplifiers, detector, low-frequency amplifiers, synchronous integrator and synchronous demodulator. The signal from s scale channel is sent to recorder and another is sent to A/D board as the sampler of the millisecond time constant and then to computer in order to analyse and judge whether there are ms scale structures. If there are, the computer will store them.
