Characteristics of the Spectra of the Flare and Its Ejection of 1989 May 8

  • The characteristics of the spectra of an SN flare, and its ejection which occurred on 1989 May 8 are briefly introduced in this paper. They are described as follows.(a) The radiative intensity of the flare kernel is successively weakened in the three spectral lines of Hα, Hβ and Hγ.(h) When the flare reaches its maximum, the matter ejecting towards the exterior of the solar disk ascends helically just like a fried dough twist.(c) The average ascensional ejection velocity is about 120km/s,the average desccnsional velocity is about 12km/s and the maximum projected height of the ejection is 22000km
