  • The hourly values of three magnetic components from 9 stations in the china Meri dian chain are used to analyse the characteristics of the storm on March 13-14, 1989, and to construct the equivalent ionospheric current systems. The contribution from the ring currents and field-aligned currents to the magnetic disturbances are recognized.
