Flaring Arch in AR5533 on 15 June, 1989

  • An event of flaring arch which occured on 15 June, 1989 in AR5533 (Numbered 89268 by Yunnan Observatory) is described in this paper, and a series of Ha and Ha off-band images of the arch which were obtained by 26 cm solar telescope at Yunnan Observatory arc also given. Condusion is made as follows: 1. The secondary footpoint of the event is 35 thousand kilometers away from the primary footpoint which at the site of the flare. 2. The interval between increasing brightness of the small intense flare and emission mass reaching to the secondary footpoint is about 7 minutes. 3. The Hα emission material propagates along the arch with a mean speed of 130km s-1.
