Optimum-Processing for the Noise in A Low Light Level Readout Image from CCDs

  • Rased on analysing the statistical characteristic of the noise,in CCD's readout signal and on studying the method of pre-processing of CCD image at present, this paper bring up a new method for optimum-processing of noise in CCD's read-out signal. The new method has a promising result for depressing the CCD's readout noise and other random noise. Using this method, we can obtain the optimum evaluation of signal from the datum polluted by random noise, and the signal-noise ratio (S/N) of CGD's read-out datum can be improved.
