Hot Spots of the High-Energy Flares and the Relation Between them and the Evolution of the Large Scale Magnetic Fields

  • A comprehensive high-energy flare index is used to be characteristic of the high-energy flare intensity. The time and spatial distributions of the comprehensive indices of the energetic flares which have been observed since Cycle 21 are analysed and 13 "hot spots" of such flares during this period are given in this present article. The active zones of the hot spots appeared repeatedly and there erupted the energetic flares accounting for 58.1 percent of the total indices. The characteristics of the hot spots and the relationship between them and the evolution of the large scale magnetic fields are also discussed, with the results showing that the evolution of these spots has close relation to that of the large scale magnetic fields and the former is modulated by the latter.
