Analyses of the Self-Reversal Lines of the Prominence of 1984 February 18

In this paper, severval self-reversal line profiles of the prominence at the solar limb observed on February 18, 1984 are fitted, with the results showing that the source function of the self-reversal Ha line increases toward the centre of the prominence, the value of the source function at the centre of the prominence is 1.3~1.6 times greater than that at the edge and the values of the optical depths(τ₀) at the centres of the self-reversal line profiles are much gerater than those of the other profiles without the self-reversal lines.
