Data Conversion from the Thick CCD System to A Computer and Its Preliminary Analysis

Since the setting-up of the Thick CCD Spectral System at the Yunnan Observatory it has been a closed system on the whole: the observed data stored in the 5(1/4)-inch floppy disks could only be read and simply processed with the M24 microcomputer of the system. And the hardware and software of this system could not satisfy the requirements of the modern spectra processing. On the basis of the conversion of the data obtainded with the thick CCD to the VAX 8350 computer, the computer configuration and the necessity of the data conversion are analysed and discussed in this paper.
