Determination of Image Quality

A variety of quantitative measures of the image quality, including the continuous and discrete forms, is investigated.Most emphases are placed on the measures of the image quality based on the visual system models, which have better correlation with the subjective evaluation.The image information is proposed as a new measure of the image quality.These measures have wide applications in the image compression and facimile.The measure of the image quality evaluates the imag quality is a very important criterion for the evaluation of the image restoration algorithms.
