Data Conversion from the Thick CCD Spectra to the IRAF Image and FITS Format

The IRAF system developed by NOAO has become one of the most principal software systems for spectra processing in China.The tape format "FITS", firstly developed to meet the needs for radio astronomy, has been one of the internationally general-service formats for tape data conversion.In this paper, based on the brief introduction of the FITS format, the problem of data conversion from the thick CCD spectral file to an IRAF image, in addition to the FITS format, is discussed.This is useful for the spectra processing by means of the IRAF software packages and for the data exchange at home and abroad.
