Measurement Technique for the Measurement of Microwave Antenna Gain by Means of Radioastronomical Method

  • The basic principle and method of using the radio stars as calibration beacon in the measurement of microwave antenna gain are presented in this paper, in this method, four standards of calibration is used by respectively (T0-TL), (TH-T0), (T0-TANz) and (T0-TANz). The gain of four different type antennas are measured by means of calibration. The results of measurement show that the gain measured can assure high precision by using the measurement system to composed of total type radiometer and (T0-TANz).Measuring equipment gives consideration both reciever system and measuring equipment, It's not requirement for special measuring equipment. So, the techniqus is used widely in the project.
