A Radio Microflare and the Magnetic Fields of Sunspots in ARs 7646 and 7647

  • A microflare occured at the place between ARs 7646 and 7647 was recorded on January 5, 1994. The type of the magnetic field of the sunspot group in AR 7646 is βγ. There are Obviously two couples of little sunspots near the preceding sunspot of the sunspot group, and they show more than two newly emerging flux tubes which were parallel and/or intersected with each other. This complicated configuration is suggested to lead to the occurrance of the flare. A radio burst is also recorrded at 1.42 GHz by a radio instrument with high time read lution. There are abundant spikes overlaping in the radio continuum. This is a very rare phenomenon. These spikes are a kind of instantaneous emissions at radio wavelength band due to the continuous release with micro-energy stored in the flare. Each spike corresponds to the energy release of(0.3-3.3)×1010J. The acceleration of the non-thermal electrons acts an important role during the release Of the flare energy. This observational result supports the conclusion given by Benz A.O. and Asch wanden M.J.
