  • In this paper the correlation-coeffients between the solar constants and the projection areas of various kinds of sunspots are calculated by means of the data,of the individual suijspots observed at the Yunnan Observatory and the total flux of the solar radiation-measured by a SMM/ACRIM radiator. The main results show that(1) there is a strong negative correlation between the total flux and the sum of the projection.areas of the "active" sunspots;(2) there is a positive correlation between the total flux and the sum of the projection areas of the "remaining" sunspots and(3) the two kinds of correlations change with the age, state of development and magnetic structure of a sunspot. These results have testified, the discovery of Judit Pap(1985) again and confirmed the reliability and universality of the sunspot data obtained at the Yunnan Observatory.
