Driving System Design for 1.2 m Alt-Az Telescope and Synchronized Control for Multi-motor

  • In terms of large telescope,the design of multi-motor friciton driving is obviously more advantageous than that of single torque motor direct driving,however,synchronized control for multi-motor has its sticking point and difficulty.In the modifying project of the 1.2m Alt-Az telescope in Yunnan Observatory,after designing appropriate multi-motor driving and synchronized compensation device,we overcame the interference among running motors,restricted the velocity difference in smooth running to a smaller range,and set a good foundation for the design of correcting parameter which guaranteed the accuracy of tracking when running at the max speed of 3º/s.
