The Time Distribution of X-ray Flares with Imp≥M1.0 in the Maximum Period of the 22nd Solar Cycle

  • The data of 2052 X-ray flares with importance≥M1.0, which occured within the maximum period of the 22nd solar cycle, have been analy sed by using the method of the self-correlation power spectrum in this paper. It is shown that there exist an 83-day period and an 156-day period. It is suggested that the period of 156 days should be common for the different solar cycles. Periods of larger than 156 days possibly do not exist.
